Workshop Internacional de Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção com Hiperatividade (TDAH)

R$400,00

Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most prevalent psychiatric disorders in children and can also have an important impact in adults. Current research has questioned the low reliability in the methods used for the diagnosis of mental diseases, including ADHD. At the same time interesting developments in the fields of electroencephalography (EEG) and event related potentials (ERP) has improved the understanding of some of the most taxing mental disorders. The group led by Yuri Kropotov (The Brain Research Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia) developed a set of human neurophysiological biomarkers for brain functions using EEG and ERP methods. Both techniques have proven themselves in the clinical settings. The use of these tests resulted in better diagnoses, targeted treatments, and enhanced understanding of the difficulty mental disorders represent. Leading to a high satisfaction among users (psychiatrists, pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, psychotherapists), but especially, in a better understanding of the patients’ symptomatology.
